Annie Small '23 Recruiting Profile

I started to play lacrosse when I was in third grade and have been playing on my current select team - Iron Horse 2023 (Alyssa Murray's club) - since I was in 6th grade. I have played midfield and have been taking the draw or been on the circle since I started playing. As a high school freshman, I led my varsity team in goals (38) and assists (19), as well as ground balls and draw controls before our season was cancelled due to COVID-19. 

My strengths on the field are leadership (communicating, setting up plays, encouraging my teammates, etc.), strong fundamentals and field awareness. In the classroom, I was second in my class in middle school and currently have all high A's as a high school freshman and a 4.4 grade point average. In addition to National Honor Society, I am a member of National Charity League where I enjoy volunteering in the Austin community.
