Personal Statement

My parents signed me up for lacrosse when I was 4 years old. I loved it immediately and have never missed a season since. My family has had to move a few times throughout my childhood, so I have had to join several new teams over the years. Even though sometimes this was exciting, it was also hard and sad for me to have to leave my team and friends.  Nevertheless, now I feel moving so much has helped me grow a lot as a person and a player. I have met a lot of great people along the way, teammates, coaches, and friends for life. I have learned to be a great teammate and a leader. I played youth lacrosse in Baltimore, MD, and, Walnut Creek in Northern California.

While living in Northern California, I played for Walnut Creek Warriors, Stick With It! & 4Core Lacrosse. I traveled & played locally as well as in San Diego & Petaluma and Lake Tahoe.  The summer before my Freshman year my family moved again to Austin, Texas. I currently play for my High School Club team-Cedar Park.  Although my Freshman season was cut short due to Covid-19, I was a starter on the Varsity team, played midfield, and was the second top scorer. As a Sophomore, I started in every Varsity game and was second overall in all stats categories for my team. I had 26 Goals, 4 Assists,  36 Draw Controls, 29 Ground Balls, and 11 Caused Turnovers. I was named to the CTGHSLL All-District Team.  This year, in my Junior Year, I was a team captain and a starter at the draw.  I was the top points earner for my team with 18 goals and 17 assists. I also lead my team in ground balls, draw controls, and caused turnovers and was named again to the Central Texas All-District Team.

Since moving to Austin, I also joined the Texas Outlaws U19 team. I have traveled with my team to several tournaments including Sandstorm, CA in 2020, Presidents Cup, FL in 2020, and The Desert Hustle, AZ 2021, Champions Cup, MD 2021, Lax Amplified, PA 2021, President's Cup, TX 2021, and Sandstorm, CA 2022.  This summer I will be attending Southeast Cup, NC 2022, and Champions Cup, MD 2022.

Over the years I have participated in other sports, including soccer and swimming but nothing has compared to the love I have for lacrosse. I still compete in swimming for my high school and I also play for the water polo team. Water polo has been very fun for me since there are similarities to lacrosse. I love shooting and scoring of course, but playing defense is also very rewarding. My lacrosse IQ, speed in the pool, and overall competitive nature have helped me learn the sport quickly.

I love to excel in school as well. I Have a 3.8 GPA, have made the Honor Roll every semester, and take my studies very seriously. I also enjoy giving back to the community as I am also a member of the National Honor Society and the National English Honors Society. My favorite subjects are math and science. I am currently mainly interested in Anatomy and Physiology and hope to continue studying something in that field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
