Hey, my name is Rachel Larsen and I would like to introduce myself! I’m 17 and a Junior at Viewmont High School. My main position is midfield but I am super flexible and can play almost any position. I have been playing lacrosse for 4 years now and I absolutely love it. I dedicate my time to improving myself both as an athlete and as an individual. I am positive in everything I do and I’m definitely a team player. I strive to add a happy and fun energy to every team I play for. When I mess up, I don’t give up, I only get more motivated to work harder. I’m always looking for tips and commentary to help me improve. I take criticism well and I’m an extremely quick learner. I’m dedicated to lacrosse; I am the first on the field and the last to leave.
Academics are very important to me and I work hard to maintain a high GPA. I love to push myself and I often take hard classes to challenge myself. I have a passion for learning new things and growing my skills and abilities both at school and on the field. I understand that athletes rarely can keep a high GPA and give their all on the field, so I'm dedicated to balancing lacrosse and my school work.
Graduating from college is one of my main goals in life. If I was offered the opportunity to play lacrosse in college it would be a dream come true. I can promise that putting me on your team would be a choice you would not regret. I am open minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. If I could go to a college where I could get a good education and play lacrosse that would be amazing. Right now I’m leaning towards a major in hospital administration.
My realistic goals are to continue to grow and become better every day. I am going to continue to play the sport I love and keep aiming to be the best I can be. I hope to one day impact the world in some way and I want to be someone that new or younger lacrosse players look up to. I want to prove people who try to disourage me wrong. I strive to be a friend to everyone on my team and I hope to make everyone feel welcome and included. I want to help spread the joy that lacrosse brings to me and grow the sport.
