This is my 6th year of playing lacrosse and I hope to continue playing in college as a 2014 goalie. In addition to middle and high school seasons, I have played on several travel teams and competed in nationwide tournaments, camps and clinics. I received 2013 US LACROSSE ALL ACADEMIC HONORS and my current academics are: (3.97/4.0 GPA, 30 ACT, 1230 SAT, 740 SAT Literature subject test). This year, I was selected as the alternate goalie to both the 2013 BRINE NATIONAL TEAM and the 2013 NATIONAL TEAM. I currently play for Lakeshore Lacrosse's 2014 National Team located in Chicago, Illinois and am committed to commuting 2 hrs from Wisconsin to Chicago to attend practices twice a week and receive coaching from D1 & D3 alumni collegiate players.
I am seeking a SELECTIVE ACADEMIC D1, D2, or D3 school where I can pursue both my academic and lacrosse interests to contribute as a 2014 goalie.
I am interested in majoring in business, engineering, sciences or education (although still undecided).
My current academics include:
30 ACT (33 English, 27 math, 34 reading, 29 science, and 9 writing) Dec 2012 & Apr 2013
SAT 1860 (Critical Reading=630, Math=600, Writing=630) Jan 2013
SAT Subject Tests (Literature = 740, Physics = 580, Math 2 = 550)
GPA 3.97/4.0 (unweighted)
My PSTAT scores ranked 95% of all juniors (critical reading = 71, Math = 63 and Writing Skills = 62 for a total sum of 196)
I will retake the ACT & SAT in the fall of 2013.
I received 2013 USL ALL ACADEMIC HONORS, 2012 & 2013 All Conference Honors, and 2012 Wisconsin State Runner-Up as the starting varsity goalie for Verona Area High School. My 2013 high school stats: GAA 7.3, SOG 276, SV 140, SV 0.55%.

My top six character strengths are: Curiosity, Leadership, Love, Hope and Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence. On the field, I know my weaknesses, but more importantly I apply my strengths and strive to improve every game and practice. I love playing lacrosse and being a member of a team including: training, setting and achieving goals, and applying all I learn not only on the field but also in my personal life. I work with a personal athletic trainer and private goalie coach. Being in the midwest with limited travel teams available in Wisconsin, I have made commitments and traveled far to be a 2012 goalie for XTEAM (based in NY) and 2013 goalie for Lakeshore Lacrosse 2014 (based in Chicago, IL) National Travel Teams, in addition to attending out of state camps and clinics.
I am a lifelong learner. I love the challenge of learning and engaging myself in a variety of academics, athletics, and volunteer extracurricular activities. As a junior, I had a demanding academic workload with AP English, AP Statistics and AP Physics, in addition to several leadership activities (Ceramics TA, Men's Varsity Football Manager volunteer (3rd year), Co-Director of our high school fall musical (which competed and won several state awards), a Bi-lingual Spanish/English Volunteer Tutor for Verona elementary students, an employee of the Verona Theatre Community and volunteer for numerous Verona High School Theatre shows).
Last year as a sophomore, I was the Stage Manager for our high school's fall musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (which received a Tommy Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre - one of only four plays which earned outstanding overall technical achievement awards from over 45 high schools during the 2011-2012 year). I also volunteered as Verona HS Food Pantry Director and continue helping with Food Drive each year. I am a member of Youth Ministry and have received three Academic Business World Scholarships.
Growing up, I have participated in a variety of competitive sports and activities including: cross country running, competitive swimming, downhill ski racing, competitive Irish dancing, tap dancing and piano. I have four brothers (who also play lacrosse), and one of my older brother currently plays lacrosse defense for Stevens Institute of Technology (DIII, 2012 Empire 8 Champions) in Hoboken NJ.
I am very independent, a self-starter, focused, dedicated, strong time management/organizational skills, coachable, competitive, a leader, a teacher, a communicator and a lifelong learner. As a lacrosse player, I describe myself as: fearless of the ball, coachable, a team player, maintain a positive attitude, focus on the next play, and lead our team to play with grit and enthusiasm at all times (regardless of goals scored or the outcome of the game). I believe I am expotentially developing my lacrosse skills as a goalie and am willing and dedicated to continue my athletic development year round. Athletically and academically, I will make significant contributions to the athletic team, classroom and student body.
