Personal Statement

I aspire to study Environmental Science so that I can be a part of the Sustainability Revolution . I want to be a coxswain women’s rowing team all four years of college. My dream is to be an Olympic coxswain, this sport is my ultimate passion. I am a very enthusiastic person and that reflects in my abilities as a coxswain, I believe I am very good at getting the rowers in my boat to power through a race/workout in a positive yet stern way. I am determined and work very hard for what I want. My first year on being on a rowing team I started out as a rower, which was great because I have first hand experience and can put myself in rower's shoes. But I knew that I wanted to take a leadership role and that I was better suited as a coxswain so I took initiative and became a coxswain on a more competitive team. I love a challenge in my academic space too, which is why every academic class I take is either Honors or AP.
