Growing up I was fortunate enough to have amazing parents who instilled the importance of good character and integrity on the field and in life, the person I am now completely reflects the strong and hard-working examples my parents have shown to me. My dad, a high school football coach, signed me up for about every sport you could possibly think of yet I mostly focused on Softball as I got older. Over the years I've learned that a real passion and good work ethic will bring success. I had a knee injury my Freshman year that put me out for a season. When I came back it was not only physically challenging but it was also enlightening to step back and see all of the Drama and Politics involved in success. With this new realization I often became frustrated and I lost my love for the game. This summer when I tried out Rowing I immediately fell in love. So far Rowing has made a happier person and a batter athlete more and more each day. I believe that as I work hard in the classroom and on the water then I can achieve success where ever that may be. I know that whatever college I end up rowing for that I will give it everything I've got and work with my teammates and coaches so together we can achieve greatness.
