Alexandra Delfino '19 Recruiting Profile

I strongly believe that I could be a great attribute to a colligate rowing team, because of my determination and willingness to push myself beyond the expected limits in both academics and rowing. I have been rowing for two years as of now and since my first practice I've grown in both my character and athletic performance which will only progress in time. I have gone through many set backs in my life but nothing has stopped me from excelling to my full potential which I believe the right coach can help me bring out even more. I recently suffered from a back injury which did not set me back. Through my healing process I worked hard to maintain my strength as well and healing my back. When I got back on the water I pr'd by seventeen seconds on my 2k. This perfectly exemplifies my passion and drive to progress in this rigorous sport. Before, rowing I have always been academically inclined, always accepting any opportunities for me to be exposed to knowledge. My love for reading and writing has pointing me in the direction of journalism, which I am excited to pursue in college. If you consider me for your team I assure you that you will get a hard working and willing student athlete willing to overcome any challenges given academically and athletically.
