I am a rising senior from Washington, DC and am interested in rowing at the collegiate level as I would like to challenge myself and find ways to improve as a rower and a student. Rowing has been a significant part of my life throughout high school as it has helped me make new friends and improve my self-confidence. In addition, balancing crew practice and academics has taught me to manage my time well, and throughout high school I have maintained a high GPA and taken on challenging AP courses to ensure academic growth while remaining dedicated to my team. I contribute to my current crew program by bringing a positive attitude to practice and helping to keep the team organized. As a co-captain of my team, I help lead warmups, workouts, and stretches as well as aid the coaches in communicating with the team about races, practice changes, and other important information. I would bring my strong work ethic and positive attitude to a collegiate rowing program, as I care deeply about the sport and strive to form meaningful connections with my teammates.
