Ava Barham '25 Recruiting Profile

 Hi, I'm Ava Barham and I'm a senior at North Oldham High School who is a novice rower for Louisville Rowing Club (LRC). I started in the spring of 2024 and ever since I've started rowing, I can't get enough of it. I played field hockey from 4th grade to my junior year of high school. I didn't continue with field hockey this year because I wanted to commit full-time to rowing for LRC. My younger brother is a varsity coxswain on the team and has coxed every boat in the boathouse, I started rowing because of him. I row both port and starboard (depending on the lineup) and I skull. In the spring, I rowed a boat that went to the finals in the Midwest Spring Regatta. In the fall, I was in a boat that won silver medals at the Secret City Head Race. I love rowing and hope to continue rowing in college!
