What I want in a college rowing program is a connected and supportive team that are all willing to work hard to bring success. I am a student athlete that is coachable and eager to improve and work together with my boat. I love the feeling of a boat that runs well, and I am determined to work hard everyday in order to keep that feeling alive.
I am a competitive person, focused, and understand what it feels like when a stroke is right, and can feel it when it is wrong. I grew up in a rowing family, where both my sisters rowed in High School and my brother and I got into it early since my mother has been rowing for 35 years, and we have been cheering for her at the Head of the Charles ever since I was 8.
I don't do fall crew because I am a swimmer
I also have 4 years of sculling experience and have gone to Craftsbury Sculling Center to improve my stroke for about 3 years.
I was two seat in a lightweight 4+ at Arlington Belmont Crew this year, where we were the first ABC Womens' boat ever to qualify for Youth Nationals in the team's history. We made it to the B final and got 5th, a feat that we were all incredibly proud of.
I have been in every boat out there, including a Mother Daughter Double that I raced at the 2013 Head of the Charles Regatta with my mother.
