Lydia Pool '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches! 

My name is Lydia Pool and I am a coxswain from Forest Hills Northern High School and the Grand Rapids Rowing Association. One of my primary goals is to spend as much time on the water as I am able with a team that values and demonstrates support of one another. Another aspiration of mine is to be indispensable to every team, internship, and job that I earn.  The extra effort I expend helps me grow in the things about which I am passionate, which in turn benefits others! 

When it comes to a collegiate rowing, I am looking for a team that can handle my drive and competitive edge. I am an excellent candidate because I am extremely willing to work to improve; every practice is a step forward to the goal of being the best I can be for my rowers and the larger team. It is important for me to get to know the rowers and each boat of rowers - what makes them tick, what drives them, how I can best inspire them to work together to achieve their/our goals.  Being driven and extremely competitive is only the tip of the iceberg. I know that I am different because of the willingness I have always put in, and because I thrive under pressure. I am so very excited to begin and I can't wait to hear from you!
