Hey there! I'm Elodie, and I'm excited to be planning my college rowing career after just finishing my third year with Twin Cities Youth Rowing in Eden Prairie, MN.
I am a rising senior (Class of 2023) who fell in love with the sport of rowing and found my home at the boathouse after swimming competitively for eight years and competing on my high school nordic team. I love the team camaraderie, plus the individual focused hard work we need to succeed as rowers. I've learned so many lessons about teamwork and discipline that not only apply to the sport but also apply to all other aspects of life.
In spite of Covid, I've had the opportunity to compete in 11 regattas now, including the 2021 Head of the Charles. I'm looking forward to another busy racing season and the added challenge of leading the team as a Team Captain. As a teammate and a person, I am a strong and enthusiastic leader and never shy away from taking charge of planning a team event, organizing team squats at the end of practice, or leading trailer unloading at a regatta.
I am consistently working on my technique and times while preparing for regattas and leading the team. And I hope to add my enthusiasm, experience, work ethic, and leadership skills to a college team next year!
