My journey in rowing started during my freshman year of high school. My dad showed me the sport and I was immediately interested. I thought I would give it a shot at my local Mercer team and that decision led me to discover a passion that's become a huge part of my life. Every day, whether I'm working on my technique or just trying to get a tough workout, rowing has my full attention and effort. And it's not just about the physical stuff – it's also helped me grow as a person. I've become more confident, more willing to take on challenges, and better at managing my time. Balancing rowing with school and other activities has been a challenge, but it's also taught me a lot about organization and prioritizing what's important. Despite the crazy schedule, I've managed to keep up good grades and stay involved in my community. I'm super excited about the idea of rowing in college. I know I've got the work ethic and dedication to be an asset to any college team, and I can't wait to see where rowing takes me in the future.
