Track, Cross Country, Basketball, Volleyball, I have played a lot of sports searching for the one for me. After I tried rowing I knew my search was over. Rowing is my passion. The people, environment, commitment, and hard work are all things that make rowing so great! I started rowing in grade 9 and have never looked back! Starting on an erg, I found a passion for pushing myself everyday striving to do better than the last. Hard work and determination have always been a part of my character. I set goals and strive for success. I am also empathic and always there to lend others a helping hand. That is why I want to have a career in the medical field. Showing kindness and aiding others is a passion I would like to pursue.
Teamwork is something I believe to be very important. Not only is it important to be the best I can be, it is also important for me to support others on their path. The people and environment I surround myself with matters! I'm never afraid to support and help my teammates achieve their goals, as they do for me. Along with rowing I value my education and academics. Not only do I work hard and push myself everyday in my sport but also when it comes to school. I lead by example and I wish to continue to better my education and rowing success in a University best suited for me. What you put in, is what you get out, that is something I stand by. It not only describes rowing but is something I apply to my everyday life.
