My name is Olivia Sekel and I am currently a junior at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School. My rowing career began in the fall of my sophomore year. Rowing instantly became a passion of mine and I found being a part of the team a rewarding and enriching experience. I have participated in many team sports in the past, yet I never felt as strong of a bond as I do with my crew team. The time I spend on the water and in the gym prepares me physically and mentally to be a strong member of the team. I want to pursue rowing at the collegiate level not only because of the positive experiences I've had in the past but also because it challenges me to be a better version of myself every day. Academics are a priority of mine as I currently am enrolled in two AP courses and honors-level classes, currently earning high honors. I am an avid member of my community participating in many student leadership roles including global language department representative, Spanish tutor, summer camp counselor, and community service advocate with over 200 volunteer hours served to date.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile and I hope to hear from you in the future.
