I started rowing in the winter of 2019 after being brought to a "bring a friend practice". At that point I had no idea the tremendous impact being on a rowing team would have on my life Since becoming a coxswain I have worked with all the squads that make up my team but now have a place as a Varsity coxswain for the women's team. In this role I am committed to expanding my knowledge of the sport so I can be the best coxswain I can be for the rowers on my team.
I am also very academically motivated and have maintained a high GPA while taking advanced classes. In 2022 I was accepted to and participated in The University of Pittsburgh's Public Health Science Academy which allowed me research opportunities. I attend a performing arts school as a theater major and am on my school's mock trial team. Through both of these I have developed skills in communicating and working as a team that are also essential to me as a coxswain. In college I would like to major in public health and continue pursing both my academic interests and being part of a rowing team.
