Personal Statement
I am a junior at the Academy of Notre Dame in Villanova, Pa. I started rowing a little less than 2 years ago. I was a competitive Irish Dancer for twelve years.
In the winter of my freshman year, I happily accepted the challenge of learning how to erg. After just a few practices I was hooked and beyond excited to get on the water for the first time! A few weeks into the spring season I found myself in the V8+. Since then I have rowed in every seat, including stroke. Most recently, I was in our JV4+ that placed 4th at the Stotesbury Regatta and Scholastic Youth Nationals. Drawing from my experience in competitive Irish dance, I am committed to pushing my limits, embracing teamwork and improving my rowing. I’m the person who always brings a positive outlook to each practice and I'm looking forward to what the future holds!
