I signed up for rowing late 2021 after encouragement of some friends and after starting my novice year in January of 2022, I quickly fell in love. I greatly enjoy the team atmosphere of the sport and how it provides motivation for me to always do and try my best. I grew up doing swim team, and have always had a love for the water and competition. So being able to be out on the lake working hard 6 days a week is definitely something I enjoy. I also have lots of leadership experience under my belt, that helps me be a better team mate. I am proudly the first Eagle Scout out of my troop based in Austin, and was also a captain of my novice team. I cannot wait to continue my athletic career through college and continue to work hard every day. In my novice year I made it to both the state and regional youth regattas, along with taking first place in the novice 8 at the Waco Regatta in November, 2022. I row both sides and scull.
