Hi Coaches! I'm Aileen and I am currently a junior at Clements High School. Being a student-athlete is my driving force, propelling me towards my goals with unwavering determination. Rowing isn't just about mastering the technique for me; it's a journey of constant refinement. There's an allure in the repetitive motion, knowing that with each stroke, I inch closer to perfection. I am mainly a skuller but I can also sweep on both sides. But what truly distinguishes me is my impact within my club. I've taken on a leadership role, initiating the growth of the junior section. It's been a thrill, investing time and effort to elevate our competitiveness at regattas. In a city where rowing isn't very popular, I've learned to be proactive, monitoring my own progress and pushing myself to excel. My aspirations are simple yet profound: to be the epitome of a supportive teammate, always ready to lift others up, and to remain coachable, ever open to learning and growing. Balancing the demands of athletics with academic rigor is not a simple task, but I'm committed to maintaining momentum in both realms.
