I've been a year-round swimmer since I was 9, and joined my high school crew team in my freshman year. I immediately fell in love with crew, both the sport and the tight-knit community it fosters. I began to realize during my junior year season that rowing in college was something I am incredibly interested in, and I would absolutely love to continue my crew journey in college. Because of my background in swimming, with 6+ practices a week for the last 3 years and early mornings, I believe I am very well prepared for the college crew environment. I attend an academically rigorous science and technology magnet school and am very focused on academics in general. I'm looking to major in engineering in college, and I feel that my high school has really prepared me to balance academic and athletics in college. I am ready to learn and try new things, and will dedicate my time and effort to being the most successful student-athlete I can be.
