2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I'm a passionate athlete who has played sports since the age of 5. At Colgan I have played JV volleyball, Varsity swim, cross country and crew. I'm now entering into my Junior year and I have decided to row year round. I have fallen in love with the sport, it is very different then any other sport I have ever played. I love being on the water, in nature and I love having the team to support each other. Crew has changed my life and I’m very excited to see where it takes me.
I currently row for Resilient Rowing Club based out of Fairfax, VA. We just completed our Summer of 2019 season and it was awesome. I was able to row in Club Nationals in Ohio and also the Canadian Henley in many different sized boats and also I did a single at the Henley for the first time. Both of these regattas were such a great experience. In the fall I will be participating in the Charles and the Hooch, I can't wait for those.
Academically I strive the do my best in all of my classes. At the end of sophomore year I have a cumulative GPA of a 3.95 and I'm taking 4 AP courses for my Junior year. I take school very seriously and work hard in all of my classes.
I look forward to my junior, and senior year of crew and I hope to be able to row in college.
