Isabella MacDonald '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Isabella MacDonald and I have been playing soccer my entire life until this year when I decided to quit after I finally found rowing. Even from the first time I sat in a launch with the coaches at Vancouver Lake and watched these athletes, who are now my crew, display such a beautiful sport- I was immediately hooked. I knew I needed to get in a boat as fast as possible. Fast forward a couple months and here I am trying to extend my career into the collegiate realm. I'm hard-working, devoted, and both my past and current coaches can agree to the fact that I'm a very coachable person as I listen and follow very well. Not only have I always clicked with coaches but I've also rarely found an issue with teammates as I've been on a wide array of teams for soccer, lacrosse and cross country so I easily adapt and can get along with anyone in any environment. Along with all of this, I've always been a respectable student trying their hardest to get good grades and balance the student-athlete life.
