During my volleyball career, I have gone from a starting outside hitter in 14's to a DS/Libero in 15's. This has allowed me to understand multiple positions and has made me an asset to any team. During this new position as a DS/Libero, I have worked hard to make the transition to prove that I was the right person for the position. Recently, I helped my team receive a bid to nationals in Detroit, Michigan.
I have put in the time between open gyms, practice at home, and practices for club/school teams to work on becoming a better passer. Along with feeling that passing and expecting every ball, communication is also something huge that I do my best on bringing to any team. I talk to other passers and hitters while play is happening to ensure there is so hesitation or confusion.
While being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of nine, I feel as this is not something that holds me back but pushes me harder for anything I want to achieve. I try my hardest to make sure I am not using this as an excuse to get out of any hard practice. I have been told in volleyball along with the other sports I used to play that I am very coachable and am open to trying new challenges. When getting talked to from a coach for feedback I withstand eye contact and listening to any positive or negative comments in order for me to be the best player I can be while on the court.
