To Whom it May Concern: Briella Goldenberg is an accomplished student athlete both in and out of the classroom. She is an accomplished multiple sport athlete who maintains a 3.7 GPA while taking honors and advanced placement courses. I have written many recommendation letters over the years and have coached and taught hundreds of students, but Briella stands out in a crowd. She is helpful, upbeat and born competitor. She is one of the best athletes in my fifteen years of coaching and I am thankful to have her part of the Parkersburg South Crew team. She has rowed for me for six years, and has set a new standard for upcoming student athletes to model themselves. She is the first to volunteer for a challenge. Briella will leap at any new workout or extra opportunity she has to improve herself. Her dedication to practice and her teammates is that of a collegiate athlete. She routinely workouts and will practice well over 20 hours a week. She will stay after practice to help other athletes learn. Briella challenges herself academically as well. In addition to her school and athletic commitment, Briella is an accomplished musician. She is the clarinet section leader of the marching band and plays guitar. Briella is an enjoyable and fun person to be around. Her attitude helps other athletes through the physical and mental pain of getting stronger in an endurance sport. She pushes through, not only to become a stronger athlete, but because her teammates count on her to be a leader. Briella and her team have been a part of one the winningest crew teams in the history of Parkersburg South High School. Her and her teammates have accomplished regional and national ranking through her four years rowing. Her freshman quad placed 7th nationally (SRAA). In May of 2021, Briella rowed in the varsity 8+ at nationals and her boat placed 12th. The varsity 8+ category in rowing is the premiere event and the category with the highest competition.
