I am a competitive powerlifter, who just started rowing in September, 2021. I love lifting, but I am looking to use that strength in a way that will help me compete at the highest level in college. All of my training for lifting is done online, so I have to be highly self-motivated, and I take into account every aspect of my daily life to improve. For example, I strive to eat as healthy as possible and I do mobility work almost every day. To give an idea to how much I lift, my numbers are 260lbs (squat), 125lbs (bench), and 405lbs (deadlift). Although I have looked into powerlifting in college, I have decided that rowing would be a better fit because I am looking for a medium to large school, which is hard to come by for lifting. Outside of athletics, my favorite subjects are chemistry and calculus, and I am currently taking Multivariable Calculus my Junior year in high school. I am also Key Club president at my school, where I lead numerous service projects each month, and I am expecting to have over 100 hours of service in total. My ideal school would allow me to balance all of these activities that I enjoy, and I am keeping an open mind as I search for the right college.
