Hi coaches! My biggest goal in soccer is to be the best player I can be. That includes being a good teammate, but also always being ready to learn and be challenged. I'm a very hard worker and ready to give my all to every game, practice, and team that comes my way. Soccer is one of my biggest passions because it allows me to truly be myself, a persistent, passionate, and purposeful person. I'm a good candidate because I'm truly a team player. I'm all for my teammates success because soccer is a team sport, and when my teammates succeed, so do I. A soccer team is supposed to feel like a family and that's exactly what I intend to make my teammates feel. I'm different from other players because I don't believe soccer is "just" a sport. It's a life lesson that can mold me into becoming an even better person. I came into soccer at eight years old looking to try a new sport. If I didn't make that decision, I wouldn't be where I am today; a determined soccer player who's had experiences that will last a lifetime, but will also relate to that little girl who didn't know that this simple decision would change her life. I differ from other candidates academically because I'm not afraid to ask for help when I don't understand something. The reason this makes me different is because I was able to change my perspective. I used to be scared to ask for help because of what my classmates would think, but eventually I realized it's better to understand something I need to know and be laughed at, than to not understand something and miss out on opportunities. Ultimately, I've learned that being able to speak up has helped me to be successful in soccer and other real life experiences. As a result, I'm confident enough to vocalize my opinions, which is vital in team sports.
