My goal is to play college soccer and be a starter for a collegiate team. I have always been a driven soccer player since I was a recreational soccer player and was told not to score anymore by my coach because the other team was getting upset; that made me upset because when I play soccer I compete 100%. I think that my determination and grittiness makes me a valuable asset to a collegiate soccer team. I was a leader on my 2002 ECNL team and my coach expected me to set up the defense and position the defensive players to push up the field or get back in position. I am not afraid to be physical on the field and I always make my presence known to the opposing team. I play fearless. I am a team player which also makes me a good candidate for a team because while I was a center back on my team, I did not score very often but I did get the satisfaction out of protecting my goalie and limiting the goals of the opposing team. I want to be a versatile player that can adjust to whatever is thrown my way on the soccer field. I was selected as pre-season player to watch on my BUSA ECNL U14 team. I was selected as “Best Offensive player” on my Mountain Brook JV team. I received 1st team Birmingham All-Metro Honors for Birmingham High School Soccer Teams. Also, I was selected to Alabama High School Soccer team’s Honorable Mention team as a defender. I attended the BUSA RPL Championships in June.2018. After playing 4 years of ECNL,
I now play for the Vestavia Soccer Club and I am on the Vestavia Attack Black 01 team for the Fall 2018 season/Fall 2019. We won the Alabama State Division 1 State Championship for Fall 2018 at the U18 level.
I believe that academics come first. My first goal as a college student will be to make good grades. I will make sure to study and put in the time in the classroom to get a good education and prepare myself for a career. I made straight A's and received the A Honor Roll Award for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. As a senior, I currently have a 4.089 weighted GPA and a 28 on my ACT. I am a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Seal of Bi-Literacy, and Spanish Honor Society.
I believe that my ability to work hard in academics, take good notes in school as well as being respectful to teachers helps me achieve academic success. I balance my time with grades, family, sports, music, religion to achieve a well-rounded background. I know how to focus my time and I believe that is necessary in college to balance making good grades and playing college soccer.
I am the complete package.
