Hello, my name is Shaylin Cesar, I currently live in Juneau, Alaska and attend Juneau-Douglas High School. I am a rising senior and will graduate with the class of 2019.
Soccer is a major part of my life, I am very passionate about the sport and I am willing to do whatever it takes to play at a higher level in my future. I currently participate in varsity high school soccer, Alaska Development Program (ADP) also known as Olympic Development Program (ODP), and club soccer (Juneau Soccer Club). Every time I step onto the pitch with my teammates, I work my hardest to not let them down and to ensure them that I've got their backs. My freshman and sophomore year I was voted as "Varsity Player of the Year" by my teammates. I am currently the team captain as a junior and was selected for the All Tournament Team in the 2018 Alaska state tournament. Goalkeeping is a passion of mine and I strive to get better everyday, for myself, and my team. I am extremely dedicated and committed and like I said before, I will work my hardest to achieve my goal, which is play college soccer. I have lettered in 3 different varsity high school sports; soccer, volleyball, and basketball.
Along with my dedication to soccer, I am also a dedicated student and work very hard for my grades. I currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.97. I am enrolled in 3 AP classes and I am a member of the National Honors Society. I am extremely driven to be the best I can be both academically and athletically and I aspire to do so with flying colors.
