I have been playing soccer for the majority of my life. Once I became serious about the sport and started to train more often, I began to love the sport. Since then, I have had aspirations to play collegiate soccer. I am hard worker on the field, with the ability to take notes from other players and coaches. My freshman year I was a varsity starter and defender on a state competition winning team. It is also likely I would have maintained that position during the 2020 sophomore soccer season if not for Covid-19. My junior year I maintained the position as a varsity starter and center defender on another state competition winning team.
As well as working hard on the field, I work hard in other aspects of my life too. I have maintained a 3.97 grade point average within the first three years of high school, and will work to keep those grades.
I have always been curious in learning new skills. In terms of other sports, I have played softball and volleyball, and currently play basketball as well as soccer. I also practice many different mediums of art and participate in different clubs through my school district. I have participated in the Art Club, that raises money for an art festival; Sources of Strength, that works to join the community together; currently work with the Juneau School District Youth Court, this is a form of community service that helps Juneau's youth come to terms with different mistakes they have made and make amends with those they have hurt in the process; Student Government at my high school working as the student body spirit representative, as well as the National Honors Society, performing community service and helping different people at my school and community.
I am very open minded as to the school I would like to attend. I hope to attend a college that will challenge me academically as well as on the soccer field.
