From a young age, every weekend consisted of going to watch someone close to me play soccer, until it was my turn to be on the field. 2018 was a wild ride for me, but such an incredible eye opener. I had to move out of the suburbs and into the city right before my freshman year of high school started. All new friends, all new experiences and a whole lot of learning came my way. I tried out for the soccer team and made the varsity team as a freshman. This gave me the opportunity to help others learn new skills and understand the game a little bit better. From this experience I have learned that using my love of the game can help others love it just as much as I do, and that you do not have to be the oldest, to be a leader and have your voice be heard.
I am not new to losing. I have had my fair share of loss within the sport, but it has been so beneficial for me. I take losing as an opportunity to grow, to teach, to learn. I have learned what it means to be a team leader, to sacrifice, to be committed to something and stick to it even when you hit a rough patch. I am hoping to find a program that will be the right fit for me academically and athletically. I have a 4.6 GPA and getting a good education is very important to me. I work equally as hard on the field as I do off and it definitely shows.
