Soccer is one of the most competitive sports. To be exceptional it takes someone mentally and physically strong, and one who has a positive attitude. I possess all of these qualities, making me an ambitious soccer player with a passion to play. I have always known that soccer was more than just a game to me! It all began when I was 7 years old and attended a small soccer camp for the week of 4th of July. During our scrimmage, I scored three goals to win the game. I was hooked, and I knew that I had to pursue soccer. I played two seasons of Recreational soccer and then decided to transition into Club soccer. Over the course of my soccer career, I have experienced multiple different teams and coaches. These opportunities have given me the chance to play all of the positions on the field and learn different coaching styles.
In February 2019, I fractured my femur during the first half of a game; I played the second half, but it prevented me from training and playing soccer for a few months. My rehab inspired me to consider the medical field, primarily becoming a physician assistant, as a career path. After I was cleared to start training again, I was determined to be faster and stronger. I trained almost every day throughout that summer. It was a learning experience that has propelled me. My skills in shooting and footwork are better than ever before.
One of my unique and strong skills is seeing and reading the field remarkably well. This helps me make plays faster and attain the ball. I always put my best efforts in during practices and games. Additionally, I carry this attitude throughout my everyday life. I am proud to currently have a 4.57 GPA and participate in multiple honors and AP classes. My next goal is to compete in college soccer because, not only will it be fun, it will be a valuable learning experience. I look forward to the chance to exhibit my skills and experience the growth that comes from college soccer.
