While recovering from my last reconstructive surgery my father and I would watch soccer together. By the time I had recovered, I knew two things: I wanted to be like the Dr who helped me and I loved soccer. Once I was cleared my parents put me in little league soccer, in the beginning, it was just something that I enjoyed, but soon after I realized it was so much more. It taught me self-discipline, and dedication, and opened up scholarship opportunities to further my education while doing something I love. I began to practice anytime there was an opportunity, from coaching little league soccer with my uncle, practicing with my father, or in the house while studying. The following year I earned my place on the High school team and Imperial club. Being given the opportunity to play soccer for a college team while obtaining my medical degree is something I've dreamed of. With that being said I would love to be given the chance to prove my dedication and determination that's driven by my desire to make my childhood dream a reality. If I want something I will fight for it no matter how hard it would be. If I have learned anything, it's to always give it one more shot, because what if that one last shot is what I need?
