Dakota Baze '13 Recruiting Profile

I'm 5'1" defender and a junior for Liberty High School, Bakersfield CA and will graduate in 2013. I have 8 years of club experience and we are currently going into Premiere. This year I have earned the Jockey Club and Defender of the Year awards. I'm a captain on both club and high school teams, but I don't like to think of myself as "higher" than the rest of my team and I make sure they know that. I like constructive criticism from other players and coaches because they probably see things that I don't and I'm always looking for ways to better myself and the team. I'm not shy at all, I enjoy joking around with others, and due to my size people don't expect my capabilities and I love being the underdog.

Being assited financially is very important to me in the college selection process as my family will have a high need. I want to get Batchelor's degree, a college near the beach, and a great educational and soccer program. Ultimately I want to make a positive contribution and play the sport I love!
