It has always been one of my passions to play college soccer. I am a solid goalkeeper and a strong team leader. I can control my team from the goal using guiding positive instruction. Being a goalkeeper, you have to know every single one of your players' strengths and weaknesses so that you can guide and motivate them during the game. I have learned the happier your team is, the better they play. I have a lot of strengths, which include defending against penalty kicks, punching the ball out (my height helps), and positioning myself in the best way to be ready for each shot. I have been the starting varsity goalkeeper for my high school since freshman year. I have been varsity captain since my junior year.
I'm looking for a college that offers me both an excellent academic program and the ability to play on their soccer team. I plan to be a high school English teacher and the coach of a girls' soccer team. In my classes, teachers depend on me because I am a great leader and I work well with others. Being involved in leadership during middle school, and now being elected Vice President for my high school class of 2017 shows that my peers respect and rely on me.
