Traveling across the country to attend the Florida Disney ESPN tournament was such a huge event in my soccer career. This tournament taught me what it was like to play at the next level. On this trip, I also attended the PUMA women's conference where I got to meet USWNT players and interact with many amazing athletes that shared with me their journey and gave me advice for my own. My soccer journey began at age six when I attended a small soccer camp, here I fell in love with the sport. I loved the team work, the energy, and of course, the excitement of winning. After the camp, I begged my parents to sign me up for a rec league. I then got recruited to a club team and have playing club ever since. Playing in Coast Leauge premiere division and SCDL discovery division the last two years has shown me that I want to keep playing. I am the not the player that goes to practice twice a week and shows up for games. I have been getting up at 5:30 am and do HIT training for my fitness. I cross train and specifically work on core for injury prevention. On my rare weekends off I have been doing private lessons with different trainers to work on areas that need improvement. This last 6 months I have had a track coach who works with me on Fridays to improve getting to my top speed faster. I can honestly say I put the work in when no one is watching.
My goal is simple. I want to play at the next level. I want to follow my passion in science and make sure I don't have any regrets.
