Sofia Vizcarra '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sofia Vizcarra and I am a 2024 graduate attending Clovis High School, CA. I aim to be accepted into a strong academic and soccer program during my college career in which I can make new relationships while playing the game that allows me to be free mentally and spiritually. 

My Freshman year was a pivotal moment for me, proving that I am not willing to give up competitive soccer when I graduate from high school. Earning the respect of senior teammates during my Freshman year was an inspiring and motivational experience. This season forced me to trust my instincts and rely on my strong personal work-ethic and humble style of play, as I had little time to bond with my new teammates due to the pandemic. This experience helped me grow as a person and led me to the realization that my own efforts, positive attitude and humble character is capable of playing at the college level. I was fortunate enough to be part of an amazing program with elite level players and learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. 

Although soccer is an important aspect of my life, I aim to be accepted into a quality program that also challenges me academically. I have successfully achieved high honors throughout my academic career and would very much like to continue on that path. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a scholar-athlete, I know that I have what it takes to make a difference on your team!
