I always knew that I wanted to play sports. I tried multiple sports, but I knew that soccer was my favorite when I was eight years old. That was when I made my first competitive travel team. I was a goalie at the time and it wasn’t always easy. I always did extra practices to improve and become the best goalie I could be.
It wasn’t until I was twelve when my coach made us run and do speed challenges and that day he saw my speed. That day everything changed for me. I was now a field player. I had a lot of work to do because I had never played on the field. So I started doing private training and sports agility training to get stronger and so I could understand field play better.
When I started playing on the field I was only playing 10 minutes per game. I knew that if I wanted to get better I would need to work harder. I was training 5 days a week and my skills were getting better and I started to get more playing time. But it wasn’t until the beginning of my 2017 season that my new coach put me in as a starter. I knew then that all my hard work was paying off. Now I am playing on the #1 team in the Nation.
I love soccer. I love everything about it. I am a hard worker and I leave it all out on the field. I believe that with every sport there are challenges, and it is how you handle these challenges that makes you a better player.
