My name is Georgia Smith and I’m a junior at Culver City High School in Los Angeles. I’ve been playing soccer since I was 5 years old, and currently play for the 2007 Los Angeles United Elite 64 team. I play both as an outside defender and central defender. Earlier this year I was a Cal South ODP selection for the 2024 Far West Regionals, and my team was a finalist at the 2024 Surf Cup. I also play soccer for my school, where I’ll be playing my second year on the Varsity team. Until recently I played travel basketball and club rugby as well, and ran cross country at school, but have decided to focus on soccer. I’m also a motivated student with a 4.1 GPA and taking honors and AP classes this school year. Academics are important to me and I am focused on going to a college with strong academic credentials. I am Vice President of the Youth Advisory Committee of my local YMCA, Culver Palms, and am active in California Youth Government. I hope to play soccer in college because on the field with my team is where I’m happiest.
