For many years, soccer has been the center of my life, and the thing that has inspired me to train and push myself beyond my limits. During my 2021 Fall season I had a season ending injury (broken tibia and fibula) that resulted in surgery and me being sidelined for 9 months. Through the recovery process, I was able to reflect and realize that soccer is something that gives me joy everyday, and that I want to play for as long as possible. Since my injury, I have been named the captain of my club team, and the captain of both my JV volleyball and Varsity soccer teams. My freshman year I was selected to guest play with the Varsity volleyball team, and I was a starter for both my Varsity soccer and basketball teams. I have also played other sports competitively, like lacrosse and swim, but playing soccer has always been the sport that I feel the most connected to. I have always been a leader, from being on the student council, to giving winning speeches on women's sports equity, leading a group of people has always inspired to be my best self at all times, and has given me skills that I will use for the rest of my life. Growing up with a twin sister, who is a goalie, I have always been super competitive, in the classroom and on the pitch. I have maintained a 4.33 cumulative GPA freshman year, and have continued to grow as a student and athlete. I believe my passion, dedication, leadership, and love for the game, alongside my academics and goal to go to a top collage sets me apart from others, and will help me achieve my goals in soccer and in my collegiate life. When my parents asked me "What is your goal with soccer?", I have always said that my goal is to play for as long as I can. I am so excited to start the process and put in the work to achieve this dream.
