I am a starter player for the GU17 California Legends FC Black team which is a Tier 1/Gold club soccer squad. I helped lead the team to win the championship of the 2013 Albion Tournament, to be Finalists for the 2013 Legends Classics, and to be 2013 Semi Finalists for the State Cup. I play right midfielder and forward positions. My strengths are in speed, endurance, and goal assists. I can also score. Additionally, I am a lettered player for my high school track and field team, participate in sprints, triple jump and long jump events, and was a 2013 Sierra League Finalist for triple jump. Earlier in high school, I received the Offensive MVP-JV Award for soccer. Each year, I received the Scholar Athlete-Soccer Award and the Scholar Athlete -Track Award.
I am on the Honor Roll and am a member of the California Scholarship Federation Society and the Society of High School Scholars. I take Honors and AP courses in English, American Literature, and US History. Other extra curricular activities include membership in the Junior Statesman of America Club, KIWIN’S Club, and Chamber Choir. I am also an Ambassador for Soccer Without Borders and Positive Tracks where I am conducting a campaign to raise money to sponsor soccer teams for refugee children in Kampala, Uganda, Africa. I volunteer for the Glendora Public Library where I read to children, facilitate cultural activities, and perform a variety of librarian tasks. Additionally, I organized a campaign which resulted in the collection and donation of more than 300 books to the Glendora Public Library Friend's Foundation.
My future goals are to go to college, major in Liberal Arts or Business Administration, and play college soccer. Ultimately, I would like to get a MBA or law degree, be a business owner, and work for a large corporation. Although I do not want to limit my college choices, it is important that I attend one that has a strong academic standing and a solid and competitive women’s soccer program. The college also needs to be sensitive to cultural diversity.
