Hi, my name is Emily Rose. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old. I started in a co-ed league until finally, I turned 9, and my parents signed me up to an all-girls club - Ole Soccer Club. I'm currently playing for a United girls NPL team in Santa Carita.
Coming into high school, I always wanted to be on the varsity team. Then, when my coach told me I would be playing with the varsity for their first game it was a dream come true. I was happy to hear that my friend and I were the only two freshmen that made varsity. I was a starter and helped my team get to the Los Angeles City Section Division II finals.
I am a team player; I play left-wing, forward, and I am a good distributor in the middle. When one of my teammates is open and I have two defenders on me, I will pass to them so they have an easier shot on goal than I do. I have a 4.0 GPA, currently taking two college courses, Chicano Studies and Sociology at a community college. I would like to major in nursing while having the opportunity to play soccer at a university collegiate level.
My best attributes include having a good work ethic, leading by example, being patient, and learning from one another.
I'm looking forward to finding a university that will continue to help me go in the right direction.
Thank you
