Hello Coaches,
My name is Sophia Garcia, but my friends and teammates call me Phia. I'm a student-athlete passionate about soccer and track, with a focus on achieving my goals both on the field and in the classroom. I aspire to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering and dedicate my career to developing technologies that clean our polluted oceans.
What sets me apart from other recruits is my unique blend of character, athleticism, and academics. I'm faster and stronger than many of my peers, but more importantly, I pride myself on being a student of the game. My lifelong exposure to military culture, including my family's deployments and frequent relocations, has instilled resilience, adaptability, and a work ethic that I bring to every practice and competition.
I'm searching for a college that values both academic rigor and athletic excellence, aligning with my own ambitions. My ultimate dream is to be a dual-sport college athlete, excelling in soccer and track. The challenges I've faced have prepared me for this, and I am eager to contribute my skills, dedication, and unique background to a collegiate team that shares my values.
Thank you for considering me as a potential addition to your program. I am excited about the opportunity to discuss further how I can contribute to your team's success.
Sincerely,
Sophia "Phia" Garcia
