As a First Generation American, my goal of continuing my education will never end. I am the first member in my family to soon graduate high school and attend college/university. I am also the first member of my family to do a sport. I like to think of myself a strong and independent when it comes to my sports because I don't tend to rely on anyone to push me to do better, although it is always motivational, I always want to improve for myself. I want to be the best student-athlete I can be, by being able to handle the stress of multiple AP courses while also having after school practice. I find there to be no difficulty in doing both since I tend to have good time management skills. I'm able to perform my best academically and athletically. Being the first to go to high school, college, and university in my family brings me motivation into pursuing my career in neuroscience. I've always been interested in working with the brain and all that, which tends to be a heavy subject since the brain isn't a simple thing to learn. As of late, I've been able to handle rigorous courses while also doing sports, which I know won't change when I go to college.
