My achievements began early in life as I weighed less than 2 pounds and was not expected to live. Unfortunately, I soon became anchored to my home due to germ related issues. But this didn’t stop my desire to be outside and at the age of 5, I began my life of soccer. Now that I started to conquer my outside world, I was soon labeled “learning disabled” which would soon affect my academic achievements and be viewed as a student with limits. However, I set goals beyond my learning disability and came to enroll in my school's Scholar Academy, AP and Honor courses along with their athletic program. Though I endured many challenges, I refused to sacrifice any of my interests. My passion to play soccer at the college level has led me to train hard and overcome the ridcule I receive once I step on any field. My determination to achieve my goals in life will never be limited by society’s perception of who I am. I have always been a fighter and plan on having a career in social psychology; however, I also aspire to be a college athlete who conveys that a book should not be judged by its cover but by the content of its pages and my book is worth opening.
