Dear Coaches,
My name is Taylor Smith. I am a 2026 high school graduate, born in 2007. I play on the SC Blues 2007 ECRL team and on the Laguna Beach Varsity Soccer team. Over the course of the years, I have played multiple positions and have grown an understanding of the importance of each role. However, I have found that I excel most in offense positioning. I play at the moment, as the 9,7, or 11. I have always found a family in the teams I have played on, and the sport gives me comfort like no other. The sport allows me to have physical and mental challenges all the while being in a social surrounding.
I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old, and competitively in a club environment since I was seven. I have grown up with supportive parents who have empowered me and my dream to play soccer at the highest level I am capable of. I have been told that I never shy away from adversity. That I find the best things in the worst conditions. I am a true Californian girl. I enjoy surfing all day and watching the sunset. I never decline a book recommendation from a peer or adult. And I have recently joined my high school varsity lacrosse team and have enjoyed being a dual athlete.
As a young woman in today's society, I have learned plenty of life experiences whether that be sports, school, or relationships. Most of all, I have been taught to pursue my interests and have a determined mindset. And with that being said; I want to pursue my love for soccer. So I will continue to grow and improve my game as well as my character.
Sincerely,
Taylor Smith
