Melanie Verdugo '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Melanie Verdugo, I am 16 years old and am a rising senior at Paraclete High School. I play for Legends FC AV G2006 here in Antelope Valley, California. Just to tell you a little bit about myself- I play defense for both my club and varsity soccer team, my high school team have made it to  CIF playoffs in previous years, I was selected team Captain and as of this past season was named a second team player for the Del Rey League. My speed ,tactical awareness, defensive 1v1 abilities, and ball distribution have allowed me to be more successful player on the field .My coaches through the years have consistently commented on the fact that I am highly "coachable". I pride myself on the fact that I am able to process and apply constructive input in the moment.As of academic achievements, my GPA is a 4.5 and my SAT score was an 1140. I have also been awarded in my high school’s National Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society and California Scholarship Federation for the past 3 years. I plan to continue to give one hundred percent effort to become a successful college athlete and student.
