Being part of the girl soccer team to be the first Exposition League champions and to get to the semifinals of CIF tournament for Maya Angelou Community High School would be the highlights of my high school career. I feel like I grew more as an student-athlete my junior year when we lost in the semifinals to our rivals. The outcomes of that game helped me grow as a player because that loss helped me get more focused on on becoming a better goalkeeper to be able to compete at a college level.
Throughout my high school career as a student-athlete I learned the values of hard work, sacrifices we have to make, teamwork, and leadership. I am searching for a program that would be a good fit for me athletically and academically. Not only do I believe I have the talent to compete at a college level, I believe I have the work-ethic, character, and leadership skills to make an impact in the athletic program. Played three spots, captain and starter for all of them, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on the team.
