Personal Statement
My name is Ashley Banuelos and I have been playing soccer ever since I was five years old. Although my family was never financially stable to send me off to top clubs or coaches, I kept my head held high and always chased my dreams and trained extra hard. I’m persistent in chasing my goals as I know that not everything is given to me and I’m always determined to get better. This mindset is what sincerely pushed me to work twice as hard, not only in soccer, but in my studies as well. I was fortunate enough to have a head start in my studies as I’m currently doing dual enrollment which allows me to take college courses while being an incoming senior. By the spring of 2022, I should be able to graduate and receive two Associates and an IGETC.
