I am a versatile goalkeeper who plays out of the back and commands the field. Ever since my first competitive soccer game, when I volunteered to play goalkeeper, I fell in love with the position. In the early stages of my career, I split time between the goal and the field, developing my foot skills and my ability to read the game. When I was around thirteen, it became apparent to me that my skill set was best suited for goalkeeper as I am explosive, unafraid of putting my body on the line, and am able to communicate effectively on the field. So, I fully committed myself to the keeper position, and dedicated my time to refining my skills. At an early age, my coaches encouraged a possession style of play, which forced me to be comfortable playing out of the back and using my feet with confidence in high pressure situations. My goal is to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level, preferably at a division 3, which provides a great balance between education and sports. I’ve used my skills as a keeper to teach and mentor elementary aged girls who want to learn the basics of goalkeeping. As for academics, I attend The Head-Royce School, have a 4.16 GPA, and I am interested in Business and Economics. My favorite subject is science because it allows for a collaborative environment and there is always something new to learn.
