My name is Stacia Johnson, and I am a competitive Defensive Mid-Fielder, and a Junior, at Oceana High School. I am the starting 6, playing club soccer at Burlingame Soccer Club at the '06 Premier / NPL level, and I guest play with the club '04/'05 Premier team. I am also a starter on the varsity team at Oceana High School (also at the 6 position). I was ranked First Team, All-league, as a Sophomore, and my Burlingame club team won the Silverlakes Tournament at the '06 NPL level (summer '22). I am looking for a roster position at a collegiate level where I can contribute to a competitive program, and where there is great development potential. As a defensive midfielder my focus has been two-fold; I coordinate and shut-down offensive runs by opposing teams, and following recovery, I start the buildouts and ball distribution from our side of the field. My coaches say I have good field vision, and I can spot the open players. Please take a look at my video, as it highlights examples of my ability to break defensive lines to set up offensive runs. I scored six goals for Oceana High School during the regular season last year (from the defensive midfield position).
Academically, I currently have a weighted GPA over 4.1 (and improving), and I am planning on taking additional AP classes this Spring, and next year.
